# Node Validation

Nodes are at the core of Dymension’s security, smooth running, and activeness. They ensure the correctness of each transaction and approve it accordingly, eliminating the possibility of bad actors from the protocol.

As a layer-2 protocol on the Dymension blockchain, Dymensify will run a Dymension validator node.

The users can delegate their $DYM tokens to the validator and also get $wDYM beyond the traditional staking structure.

As an *obiter dictum*, $wDYM is pronounced: “Wrapped DYM.” It is the corresponding version of DYM but on the Ethereum network.

Moving on, the symbiotic relationship between the validator and delegators further enhances the mutual participation of every stakeholder within the protocol.
